Halimatus Sakdiah Minhat is Principal Investigator for the Newton Fund project on older social care workers in Malaysia and the UK. She is a Public Health Physician and currently an associate professor at the Department of Community Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She was previously the head of the Medical Gerontology Laboratory at the Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing, UPM. She graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2001 and received her master and doctorate in public health in 2009 and 2013 in Malaysia Her researches and publications are mainly focussing on ageing issues from both health and medical perspectives.
